Committee Scope

The formulation and standardization of specifications, test methods, classifications, practices, and terminology; the development of engineering information; and the stimulation of research relating to iron castings. Iron castings include gray, malleable, ductile, white and compacted graphite iron.
Standards for pipes and tubes include materials for joining the pipes and tubes and methods for the protection of these pipes and tubes when installed in corrosive soils. The work of this Committee will be coordinated with other Committees and other organizations having mutual interest.
