Description Related Products
1. Scope

1.1 This practice covers the procedure for analyzing the compatibility of hydrocarbon (HC) resins for use in polymer formulations by measuring their oil cloud points using the Testprint Chemotronic oil cloud point tester .
1.2 This practice uses equipment that is produced by a sole supplier, Testprint Inc. (1004 Berlin Road, Cherry Hill, N.J. 08034)
1.3 This test method is primarily for use with HC resins that are mainly aliphatic in composition, but can be used for HC resins that contain some aromatic components. The normal operating temperature range is from ambient to approximately 180¬C. The temperature range can be extended.
1.4 This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment.
1.5 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determines the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
