1. Scope

Rationale

Vehicle mounted retroreflectometers and being used to measure pavement markings on a large scale and are particularly useful for measuring dry retroreflectivity of pavement markings continuously while traveling on the road. These systemes were developed to measure dry retroreflectivity however, Some companies have adapted mobile systems to measure wet retroreflectivity. The purpose of this document is to standardize the test method for measurement of wet retroreflectivity using mobile retroreflectometers.
