Rationale

The line division technique was first added as an Appendix (non-mandatory information) in 2021. This ballot action is a response to negatives and comments received. A figure was added to enhance the description of the operation. The proposed changes and additions include a normative reference to ISO 18283 in Section 2.2. Proposed additions are shown in BLUE and deletions in RED. For brevity, the body of the standard has been deleted.
