Rationale

Worldwide institutions confirm the significance of reducing plastic waste and simultaneously producing synthetic aviation fuel components. The objective of this Task Force is to: • Review the available data from Jet Fuel manufactured by a „plastics-to-Jet“ process • Assess the validation of „Plastics-to-Jet“ process to produce synthetic aviation fuel components and prepare Research Report • Prepare an additional Annex to ASTM D7566 for specification of synthetic kerosene from Plastics-to-Jet process (PTJ-SAK) for balloting within ASTM D02 Subcommittee J.06
