Rationale

This revision adds advice for characterizing the external surface area of carbonaceous materials not specifically covered in the scope of this Test Method. No separate Test Method exists for these materials, most of which have higher total surface areas than the reinforcing carbon black materials included in Classification D1765. The Subcommittee respectfully requests your affirmative vote.
