Rationale

Rationale: Some subcommittees in Committee D02 have performed interlaboratory studies at a single location to determine precision of test methods for certain properties that are unstable. Recently Subcommittee J on aviation fuels incorporated a ‘reproducibility, single site’ description and requirements into their Operating Procedures. However, Committee D02 has not had a suitable definition or description of this practice, so this ballot is an attempt establish what ‘single-site Reproducibility’ means, and when it is appropriate to use this approach to developing precision for certain test methods.
