Rationale

This ballot proposes to assign additives listed in Table 2 of D1655 to one of two classifications: Bulk Fuel Additives, or Into-Plane Additives. This revision will enhance the coordination between the ASTM process to list a new additive in the D1655 specification and the OEM process to approve the use of the additive on their products leading to more timely final approvals of additives.
