1. Scope

1.1 This guide provides direction for the design of single use medical products and packaging for recycling. The package materials must be selected appropriately to enable the product to be recycled. 1.2 It is applicable during the design and material selection process. This guide does not address product or packaging acceptability criteria, which need to be determined by the package producer or medical products manufacturer. 1.3 The units cited in any referenced standard should be used.
