Improve guidance related to prevention of ductile instabilities in Note A9.2 such as: .Specimen stiffness can also be decreased by increasing a/W and/or reducing the size of the specimen within the allowable size limits. .Tests with ductile instabilities are conservative, but inadequate representations of the measurement and changes should be made to mitigate instabilities with future tests. Also require reporting of test machine stiffness and test machine servo-control input signal in Section 10.
