• Standardizing the terms Quality System, Quality System Manual and QSM to Quality Management System (or QMS) • Adding two additional accreditation fields to D3666: -Asphalt Binder and -Emulsified Asphalt Binder, along with tests, equipment and other requirements to be met for accreditation • Clarifying that D3666 accreditation requires at least one of these fields: -Asphalt Mixture, -Aggregates, -Asphalt Binder or -Emulsified Asphalt Binder • Updating the referenced document section to include these two accreditations • Removing redundant definitions in section 3. Terminology • Making changes to section 7.1 Management and Supervision of Laboratory to clarify licensure and experience requirements • Moving language from various notes to the body of the standard, thus making them mandatory, and removing the notes • Adding sieves and molds to the list of major equipment • Making changes to equipment calibration/verification/check documentation • Making changes to sieve checking requirements in Table 4 • Clarifying what trainees can do regarding testing of materials covered in this standard • Provide guidance on the term “full-time employee”
