Rationale

The Subcommittee F12.60 published the ASTM F3566, “Standard Performance Specifications and Test Methods for Walk-Through Metal Detectors Used in Safety and Security” (https://store.astm.org/f3566-22.html) in Dec 2022. The F3566 was written to replace and update all the requirements and test methods given in the ASTM F1468 and to include new test methods and requirements as suggested by stakeholders.
