1. Scope
1.1 This test method covers the determination of the Freezing Point as defined in this test method for aviation turbine fuels. 1.2 This test method is designed to cover the Freezing Point temperature range of -80 ºC to 20 ºC, however the precision statements were derived only from samples with freezing point temperatures from -XXºC to -XXºC.

There are currently one manual (referee) method, and three automatic methods for freezing point of aviation turbine fuels. All three automatic methods are supplied by a single instrument manufacturer, and the market is requesting for more options.
