New Guide for Modern Trauma-Informed and Emotionally Literate Workplace
1. Scope
1.1 The goal of this guide is to cultivate and use effectively trauma-informed and emotionally literate systems, best practices, and policies in leadership, organizations, culture, and the workforce. 1.2 It is recommended that every individual within an organization be trained in emotional literacy and a trauma-informed approach on a level appropriate to their responsibilities within an organization. 1.3 Any emotional literacy and trauma-informed approach training shall be performed by an experienced professional in the field. 1.4 Any emotional literacy and trauma-informed approach shall be based on a reliable model and empirical scientific research. 1.5 The outcomes of using standardized emotional literacy and trauma-informed approach practices shall be measurable and subject to continuous improvement. 1.6 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. 2.1 Through scientific advancement and global cultural shifts, it is understood that a greater utilization of trauma-informed care and emotional literacy is critical for success in modern government, corporations, and other organizational structures. The balance of recognizing the humanity of employees and the need of the organization is central to the long-term success of organizations and the consistent engagement and creative contribution of employees. 2.2 This guide is implemented following an assessment of the professional capability of employees. 2.3 This guide is designed for creating a measurable means for employee growth to meet the evolution of organizational change by a fusion of professional and emotionally literate and trauma-informed concepts to enhance communication, collaboration, and efficiencies and eliminate less presenteeism and silent quitting at work. 2.4 For quality control (QC) purposes, this guide is used for the delivery of the material and creating the measurement of outcomes. 2.5 For the source of the material used in the delivery and the measurement of outcomes related to it, use this guide for QC purposes.
