New Guide for Effective, Measurable, and Sustainable Diversity Standards
1. Scope
1.1 The goal of this guide is to promote vigorously fair and equitable treatment of employees based on the protected classes stipulated under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. The classes include, but are not limited to, race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, national origin, age (40 years or older), and disability or genetic information. 1.1.1 Train all employees on trauma-informed and emotionally literate skills that promote diversity, anti-bias, and fair and equitable treatment within the workplace. 1.1.2 Promptly investigate allegations of violations of the Civil Rights Act with respect to the protected categories. 1.1.3 Create standards and policies to support existing diversity initiatives and measure their effectiveness for evolution and effectiveness. This approach supports the creation of emotionally literate and trauma-informed diversity standards, ensuring a more inclusive and supportive workplace environment. 1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. 2.1 Modern workplaces shall encourage effective, measurable, and sustainable diversity standards to provide it with the ability to success in today’s evolving and unpredictable work environment. The workplace should reflect a diversity of humanity including color, culture, and thought to create and sustain motivation, creativity, and inclusivity. Diversity standards are a firewall against legal issues triggered by allegations of exclusion or oppression or both. 2.1.1 Emotionally literate and trauma-informed principles will enable employees to adopt and apply the principles and standards of diversity and inclusion practices. 2.1.2 Legal policies and procedures will be tools that reinforce the cultivated behavioral fair treatment of individuals. 2.1.3 Fair treatment of everyone shall be in fundamental in the organization's practices to maintain its effectiveness. 2.2 The outcomes of using standardized modern management conduct and accountability shall be measurable and subject to continuous improvement.
