E2597 requires that the manufacturer evaluate the image quality of rigid detectors. The following image quality tests are required; interpolated basic spatial resolution (iSRb), efficiency (SNRn at 1 mGy), achievable contrast sensitivity (Csa), specific material thickness range (SMTR), material thickness limit (MTL), image lag, burn in, bad pixel performance, and internal scatter radiation. E2737 requires that the user qualify and monitor the performance of rigid detectors. The following image quality tests are required; basic spatial resolution, contrast sensitivity, signal-to-noise ratio, signal level, offset level, and bad pixel performance.
