1. Scope

The purpose of this test is developed to evaluate partially and fully synthetic fluids with advanced engine technologies. The test utilizes similar technologies as D5800 but at lower temperatures and extended test times.

Rationale

New Turbo Charger technologies run at lower temperatures allowing newer technologies to be utilized that may have higher volatility losses for current ICE engines. Much of this technology is for hybrid vehicles.
