Rationale

On a previous ballot, a commenter pointed out that in 6.3.1, it currently states that “the primary WRB shall be integrated with all flashing materials in such a manner that prevents penetration of water beyond the WRB”, and that usage is not correct as it is almost impossible to guarantee that any installation can fully prevent penetration. The commenter suggested that we change ‘prevents’ to ‘resists’ to align the language with the TMS 402 building code and the definitions of WRB in 3.1.12. This ballot item proposes to make that change.
