Rationale

The scope of this project is to create a new Annex for the determination of PEX Pipe Material Designation Codes from requirements transferred from other locations in this standard to the Annex, to update the method for determining the PEX Pipe Material Designation Codes, and to revise Terminology section 3 and Referenced Documents section 2 that are disrupted by the movement of content within the standard or are otherwise redundant. The Excessive Temperature and Pressure test method is rewritten for clarity, removing un-needed conditioning. References to sizes are cleaned up to NPS or DN. For consistency “compound” is replaced with “material” when referring to PEX material.
