Rationale: Pursuant to persuasive negative comments from the most recent ballot item, standard F1646 is being revised to reference current standards. As such, references to withdrawn standards and their associated definitions have been removed. In addition, acronyms with no associated definitions have been removed. ASTM’s 8-year ballot action requirement for F1646 expires December 2024.
