New Specification for Oriented Poly(Vinyl Chloride), PVCO, Pressure Fittings
1. Scope
This specification covers requirements for materials, dimensions, workmanship, pressure testing and solvent cement joint testing for oriented poly(vinyl chloride) (PVCO) fittings for pressure applications. The PVCO fittings shall be joined using either elastomeric seals (gaskets) or solvent cement with primer. The gasketed joint shall meet the requirements of Specification D3139 and the elastomeric seal shall meet the requirements of Specification F477. The solvent cemented joint shall meet the requirements of 5.3.3.Keywords
