Rationale

When this standard was balloted in 2019 (D18 19-04) some comments were made that were addressed in a subcommittee ballot in 2021. There were two negatives. One dealt with the use of the term “Site Investigation” (which has been found non-persuasive) and the assumption that Section 1.1.6 dealt with terminology. This is not the case: it merely provides references for the method itself. The other negative dealt with parts of Section 5 (whether 5.2.4 – 5.2.6 should be moved to a Limitations Section) and Paragraph 6.2 (whether the QA and QA should be combined). It is suggested that these comments will be taken up as new business (as was suggested by the voter) once the standard has been reapproved.
