Rationale

When this standard was last balloted there were a number of comments that still had to be addressed (incl. the suggestion that the document was reviewed so it would be generic). This revision is addressing those comments. The ballot in early 2022 had two negatives and this revised draft addresses one of them. The other negative (dealing with the term “site investigation”) was found non-persuasive by the subcommittee. As part of the comments it was suggested that the list of references is updated. This will be taken up as new business once this version has been approved.
