Rationale

This ballot item proposes the revision of the definition for “Colony Forming Unit” in Section 3. Terminology to harmonize terms in this standard with those use in other fuel microbiology standards for which D02.14 has direct responsibility. The proposed definition is harmonized with the one currently used in D19.24 and E35.15 standards and with the revised definition being proposed for use in Test Method D7978.
