Rationale

It has recently come to the attention of the E08.07.05 task group that the sample data sets mentioned in section 2.2 of ASTM E1820-24 (ASTM Data Sets) were obtained in conformance with ASTM E2443, Standard Guide for Verifying Computer-Generated Test Results Through The Use Of Standard Data Sets, currently E2443-0 (reapproved 2018)?1. However, this Guide is currently not referenced in section 2.1 of E1820-24, ASTM Standards. This ballot aims at fixing this oversight.
