Rationale

This ballot is the third proposed revision to D3878-23 upon completion of the “Hard Scrub” effort of Subcommittee D30.01 (Editorial and Resource Standards). During “Hard Scrub” balloting, several recommended technical revisions were identified by our reviewers. This draft ballot discusses definitions for “bond”, “carbon fiber precursor”, “co-bond”, “co-cure”, “cure”, “disbond”, “discontinuous fiber”, “nonwoven fabric”, “roving”, “secondary bond” and “single yarn”, proposes a revision to "debulk”, and proposes new definitions for “weld”, “consolidation”, “unbond”, “non-crimp fabric” and “ribbon direction”.
