Rationale

This ballot builds from work item WK86084, all proposed revisions from that ballot have passed and is only being held to minimize the number of revisions released. For that reason, the final language of that work item has been used as the base text for this proposed revision. Withdrawn negatives and comments from WK86084 have been integrated into this proposed revision. The use of the phrase standard methods had been used throughout the document when referencing ASTM E10 and E18, during discussion during committee meetings there have been concerns this is causing undue user confusion. The term standard methods have been replaced with E10 or E18 as salient Explanatory language has been added to the scope clarifying the intended use of this document based on commentary from several of the last committee meetings when reviewing this specification. Section 8 has been updated with language similar to what has been added to E10, E18, and E92 adding minimum reporting requirements for converted and/or convex curvature corrected results. Due to the scope of changes the entire specification has been included but only the text in red is being balloted Paragraph numbering will be fixed in editorial review.
