Rationale

This standard is being balloted for withdrawal with no replacement because, 1) I could find no reference to this standard from current suppliers. 2) I could find no past reference to these methods. 3) There is no precision data and no ILS planned. 4) The tests described have not changed since at LEAST 1984 (that was as far back as I was able to search). In short, this seems an out of date set of methods that do not match well with today’s instrumentation nor market place of suppliers who are either legally required, or by the market place required, to provide goods with specified color and COA.
