Rationale

This standard is being balloted for withdrawal with no replacement because of the following reasons. This test method was first published in 2013 with an interim precision. The ILS organized in 2017 failed due to a too large reproducibility and insufficient degrees of freedom. The method was then improved with additional guidelines and a new calibration procedure. The improved method was balloted and published in 2020. A new attempt to organize a pilot study as preparation for the ILS failed due to lack of participants. ASTM will continue to provide copies of the test method for those that may need it.
