At the invitation of the Federación Interamericana del Cemento (FICEM) ASTM International member Dale Bentz spoke to a group of approximately 200 engineers from 20 countries at the FICEM Technical Congress on Sept. 1 in Mexico City. FICEM is an important trade association based in Mexico. In his presentation, Bentz, a chemical engineer at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, covered important aspects of ASTM's cement and concrete standards. The presentation was additionally offered to ASTM's memorandum of understanding partners via webinar the week prior to the congress.
