ASTM International’s committee on temperature measurement (E20) presented its 2024 Robert D. Thompson Memorial Award to Eric Yeager, engineering and calibration laboratory manager at Cleveland Electric Laboratories.
Yeager was recognized for his continuing contributions and dedication to the development of temperature measurement standards, as first vice chair of E20 as well as his effective leadership of the subcommittee on thermocouples – calibration (E20.11).
A member of ASTM International since 2012, Yeager is also a member of the Society of Aerospace and Automotive Engineers (SAE), Aerospace Metals and Engineering Committee (AMEC) and ASM International. He received his current position at Cleveland Electric in Laboratories, after spending twelve years with General Electric.
Yeager earned his bachelor of technology degree in electronic engineering (1991) from ETI Technical College, and his bachelor of science degree in computer science (2005) from Hiram College.
