1. Scope

The new Standard will cover all flexible sewer pipe materials (i.e. ductile iron, fiberglass, polymer concrete, profile wall thermoplastics, etc.) The new Standard will also include (but not limited to): Standardization of Mandrel manufacturing and design; Mandrel Testing Standard Operating Procedures; Deflection Baseline Diameters and Calculations; Backfill, Compaction, and settlement Criteria; Operator Safety and Mandrel Testing Certification.
