2024-2026 Director Adam Norton

A member of ASTM International since 2014, Norton is chair of the robotics, automation, and autonomous systems committee (F45).
Adam Norton is associate director of the NERVE Center at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. In this role, Norton focuses on testing and evaluation of robot systems, as well as the development of metrics and evaluation methods for robotic capabilities and human-robot interactions.
In addition to serving as chair of the robotics, automation, and autonomous systems committee (F45), Norton is also a member of the committees on exoskeletons and exosuits (F48) and homeland security applications (E54). F45 gave him an award of appreciation (2018) in recognition of his contributions to their work.
Norton holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and graphic design from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
