Today marks the 20th anniversary of ASTM International opening the doors of its global headquarters in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1898 in Philadelphia, ASTM dedicated its building in this borough on Oct. 26, 1995.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with our members, our customers and our local community,” says James Thomas, president, ASTM. “All of us at ASTM are proud to be playing a role in the growth and vibrancy of West Conshohocken and the surrounding area.”

Over the past 20 years, thousands of ASTM members, partners and customers from around the world – as well as an array of local organizations and residents – have visited ASTM’s headquarters near the bank of the Schuylkill River at 100 Barr Harbor Drive.

Since 1995, ASTM has actively contributed to the well-being of people and organizations in West Conshohocken and surrounding communities. Overall, ASTM has donated over $1.2 million to local school programs, nonprofits and other institutions, including the Washington and George Clay fire companies, the Colonial Neighborhood Council, the Conshohocken Free Library, Riverbend Environmental Education Center, the Fellowship House, the Conshohocken American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and more.

During this time, ASTM International also established offices worldwide in Belgium, Canada, China, Peru and Washington, D.C.
