Papers are invited for ASTM International’s Workshop on Workshop on Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS), percentages of Hexavalent Chrome in (Trivalent Chrome), and Cadmium Plating Properties, to be held May 7, 2025, in Toronto, Canada. The event is sponsored by ASTM International’s metallic and inorganic coatings committee (B08) and will be held in conjunction with the committee’s standards development meetings.
Changes made to the testing formula did not consider the susceptibility and environment stresses encountered in oil exploration caused hydrogen embrittlement failures (IHE). The objective of this workshop is to identify the stresses that were once accounted for in the original formula and make sure those same stresses are also accounted for in the new formula.
